Wesleyan World Missions 2017-11-22T22:57:17+00:00

Wesleyan World Missions is the overseas missions arm of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia, serving primarily in the Pacific region.
Our primary aim is to work with the South Pacific Regional Conference of the Wesleyan Methodist Church to assist the development of National Church Leadership within the region through training and resources.

Noro Training Centre

Over the next decade, with the support of Wesleyan World Missions Australia it is planned to create a self funding, sustainable centre that will impact more than just the church, but the local community, the nation and in fact the Pacific Region. This will be through development of business projects to create income for the centre, local community development projects in conjunction with World Hope Australia, a local Christian School on site and of course the Theological and Leadership Training Centre under the initial oversight of newly appointed Australian Career Missionary Rev. David Collins.
We can all play a part in supporting this vital project.

MORE INFORMATION

David Collins

As I look back over time, I believe God has been preparing me to serve Him in cross-cultural ministry all my life. In more recent years, this understanding has become clearer as I’ve involved myself in short-term mission trips to various Pacific nations. By living in the Solomon Islands, I see myself equipping and empowering leaders, who will develop effective theological education through the new ministry training centre being established at Noro.

Richard Soto

Richard Soto has been selected by the National Church of the Solomon Islands to complete his Bachelor of Theology Degree at the Christian Leaders Training College in PNG. The combined efforts of the SI and Australian Churches in supporting his family as they live in PNG through 2017 and 2018 to complete his studies will ensure that Richard can help with the training of leaders in the Solomons in the years ahead.

Floyds

After serving for more than 25 years in Papua New Guinea, now more than ever, the Floyds find their ministry most powerful when they seek maximum involvement in PNG church congregations and communities whilst exercising minimal control.  Don and Cheri believe they serve God best when they support, encourage and submit to the leadership of their Papua New Guinean friends.
