SRE
The Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia, NSW District, is an approved provider of SRE in NSW schools. Currently, the Wesleyan Methodist Church only provide SRE teachers in the Coffs Harbour Area. They work as part of a team of teachers from various denominations to provide SRE teaching under the guidance of Coffs Coast Schools Ministry (http://www.ccsm.org.au/). CCSM make sure all SRE teachers in their group are authorised and are up to date with training.
All SRE teachers authorised by the Wesleyan Methodist Church have a current Working With Children Check, have completed the Creating Safe Spaces (http://creatingsafespaces.org.au/)
training and each year complete further development training to be able to offer quality teaching. All our SRE authorised teachers carry an authorisation card and wear a nametag whenever they are teaching SRE in a school.
