SUNSHINE COAST
CHURCH PLANT

God is doing something exciting on the Sunshine Coast! Under God’s guidance, Reinier and Anne Terblanche, along with their team, are pioneering a new church plant in Coolum!

Married for just over three years, they’re passionate about reaching young families and the next generation, while believing the Gospel is for everyone! They met in South Africa and got married in Amsterdam in 2021 where they lived and worked before God invited them into something new.

Fueled by an unmistakable calling from God, Anne and Reinier Terblanche embarked on a bold journey from the Netherlands to Brisbane, stepping out in faith to plant a vibrant new church on the Sunshine Coast. In partnership with Hills Church and the Wesleyan Methodist Denomination, they are driven by a beautiful vision: to see the Kingdom of God flourish in Coolum as it is in heaven. Their heart beats with a passion to cultivate an authentic, Christ-centered community where lives are transformed, the Gospel’s hope radiates, and every person is welcomed into the redemptive story of Jesus. Together with their dedicated team, they are committed to making disciples, fostering deep connections, and partnering with the Holy Spirit to renew hearts, homes, and neighbourhoods across the Sunshine Coast.

The Vision

To be a transformed community living on mission with Jesus.

The Mission

To make disciples of Jesus and partner with his Spirit in making all things new.

Rei (South African) brings a Master of Theological Studies and mission field experience with YWAM’s School of Biblical Studies, while Anne (Dutch) holds a Bachelors degree in Cultural & Social Development (Social Work) and experience in community ministry. They’re both part of the leadership team at Hills Church – Anne as the Hills Café manager, and Rei as the pastoral intern.

Feel God leading you to support this exciting adventure? Whether through prayer or financial support, Rei and Anne would love to connect with you and discover how you can be part of this incredible story unfolding in Coolum.
